Who’s your favorite Bible character? As a little girl, Esther was mine—and she’s still one of them.
On the surface, her life looks like a fairy-tale: from a village girl to the Queen of Persia. But this rags-to-riches story is not as glamorous as it first seems. The book of Esther is full of drama, faith, and ultimately God’s sovereignty.
The older I get, the more I appreciate this illustration of how God was orchestrating everything behind-the-scenes. He used imperfect people to fulfill His perfect will. He lined up each sequence of events. And it all unfolds beautifully.
Did you know… God’s name is not mentioned once in the entire book of Esther? Yet the Lord is anything but absent from the details; His presence fills the pages of this story.
Here’s the take-away: We may not always see His hand in our lives, but He’s always working. Even in difficult circumstances.
We may not always see His hand in our lives, but He’s always working. Even in difficult circumstances.
So while we may not grasp “the big picture”, we can trust that Jesus is in the making of something epic…
God is all over your story, sis! He’s in the details of everything.
